A national dementia charity wants to recruit people in this area to join its ‘research network volunteers’. These volunteers – who are people living with dementia, carers and former carers – are regarded ‘experts by experience’! Their main role is to help the charity to review the applications for funding made by research scientists. Volunteers receive a batch of 4-6 applications to consider, roughly 4 times a year. (The minimum that volunteers are expected to do is to review one batch of applications a year.)
You will be helping to ensure that the Society invests in research that will make a difference to people affected by dementia.
An academic or research background is not necessary and the work required can be undertaken from home.
Please note: Volunteer Uttlesford has a total of over 200 opportunities available, only a few of which are featured on this website. Contact us for information on other volunteer roles.
