Volunteers are needed to help run a money advice programme. The role includes:
- helping clients identify potential worries or concerns
- making sure clients understand what is expected of them when they sign up to the programme
- helping them find and access local services and facilities that may offer additional support
- working with money caseworkers to tailor support to clients’ circumstances.
Volunteers should be: friendly, patient and approachable; non-judgmental; have good maths and IT skills; and be able to understand complex information and explain it to others in simple terms.
