A sheltered housing scheme is looking for volunteers to help residents to do things such as:
• use Google
• set up an email account
• look for health information online
• use an Amazon Alexa
• connect with friends and family using video calling.
Volunteers will be given free accredited online training, plus support in their roles. A free DBS check will be conducted and travel expenses will be met.
A good level of basic computer skills is required but it won't be necessary to be an IT genius! Much more important is having enthusiasm and patience to spend some time helping others to get online.
The sessions are run weekly on a Friday morning and volunteers to commit will be asked, where possible, to commit to at least 12 sessions of support.
By clicking the Enquire button and submitting your contact information, you consent to Volunteer Uttlesford passing your details to the organisation seeking support, who will then be in touch to progress your enquiry.
