A local hospice charity provides free, compassionate care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers.
The charity’s shop in Dunmow needs volunteers to assist with the sorting of donated stock, or with customer service in the front of the shop. Some volunteers would have responsibility for a particular type of stock – e.g. books, clothes or bric-a-brac. Others would do a bit of everything, depending on what is required.
No retail experience is required but volunteers must be hard working, good at working as part of a team, and be polite and helpful at all times when interacting with customers. They must be willing to learn and follow procedures but able to work independently when the role requires.
Please note: Volunteer Uttlesford has a total of over 200 opportunities available, only a few of which are featured on this website. Contact us for information on other volunteer roles.
