Volunteering has a major role to play in our community today. Organisations seeking to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable in society can do so more effectively when they draw upon the services of volunteers willing to give their time to help others. Volunteer Uttlesford can help you to sign up the volunteers that you need, whether it’s for a one-off piece of work, or if your organisation needs help on a regular basis.
Our primary role is as a broker between those who wish to volunteer and organisations and charities with volunteering opportunities. We’re proud to have a database of over 800 volunteers and it increases by the day! Register your voluntary opportunity with us, so that we can promote it for you. We will put your opportunities on this website and various other media such as Facebook and Twitter.
We also maintain our Professional Skills Exchange – a database of local, specialist volunteers with professional skills and experience. We then match what they have to offer with the needs of local, not-for-profit, organisations.
We have 290 organisations/charities already registered with us. During the year to January 2022 we were successful in attracting over 1,000 enquiries for volunteering.
Please call us on 01799 510525 to discuss your volunteer needs. (For funding and monitoring purposes we ask that you let us know as soon as possible once each volunteer position is filled. We can then remove your vacancy. Please bear in mind this may take a few days to activate.)
